The historic village of Gernsbach is also known as the “gem of the Murgtal valley”. Its eventful history is impressed in the striking moments and buildings which await you in the old quarter. If you are a history fan, you will love strolling through the winding alleys. Discover picturesque timber-framed buildings, old fountains and fortifications. The old town hall, one of the Murgtal valley’s oldest and most beautiful buildings, is just a short walk from the market square with its colourful bistros and cafés.

Exit the A5 motorway at Rastatt and follow route B 462 to Gernsbach via Gaggenau.
When you reach Gernsbach, continue straight to the town centre, in the direction of Freudenstadt (do not drive into the tunnel!). At the 2nd traffic light, turn right and cross the Murgtalbrücke bridge. Follow the signs for “Schloss Eberstein”. After the bridge, turn into the 1st street on the left. After 500 metres, drive uphill in the direction of Baden-Baden/Schloss Eberstein. You will reach the hotel after 2 km.
If you are not travelling by car, descend at the Obertsrot or Bahnhof Gernsbach (Gernsbach railway station) stop.
